Operation
 Press on/off switch
 Select "inch" or "mm" units
 Gently close caliper until the external measures are
touching
 Press "ZERO" switch to set LCD display to "0.0"
 Carry out measurement
 Switch off LCD display after use by pressing on/off
switch
 When not in use, the LCD display automatically
switches off after about 5 minutes.
Replacing the Battery
A flashing or weak display indicates that the battery
needs replacing. Replace as follows:
 Remove battery cover in direction of arrow and
remove used battery
 Fit replacement battery with "+" side uppermost.
Refit battery cover (round cell battery LR44 or
SR44)
 Remove battery if the caliper is not to be used for an
extended period of time.
NOTE: Do not dispose of used batteries with
household waste, but dispose of them at the
appropriate collection points.
Maintenance and Storage
 Clean the caliper with a dry cloth before use, paying
special attention to the measuring surfaces.
 Do not use cleaning fluids such as benzene,
acetone or similar fluids.
 Always store the caliper in the box provided in order
to avoid damage and dirt.
