INTRODUCTION
The Palmer cable tester AHMCT8 enables you to check a wide range of cables and connector types.
With this cable tester you can check cables with the following connectors:
- 6.3 mm jack
- DIN connector
- RCA (Phono, RCA)
- XLR (microphone cable - male/female)
- Speakon
Thanks to the supplied test probes, you can check almost all cables and connector types.
STARTUP
INSTALLING THE BATTERY
To begin, insert a 9V battery in the battery compartment of the cable tester. The battery compartment is
located
on the front side. Press the drawer of the tray upward and pull it
out. If necessary, use a flat screwdriver to
pry the drawer out of the tray.
CHECKING THE BATTERY
Set the rotary switch of the cable tester all the way to the right to the "battery check" position.
Then, a green LED next to the "Battery Check" label lights up. If this LED lights up
strongly, then the battery is fine. If the LED only lights dimly, then the
battery is low and should be replaced soon.
