triMMing - general information
1. Put the plug in the wall socket.
2. Switch on the clippers by setting the On/Off switch to 1 (On).
3. S tart trimming your hair. Move the clippers at an angle so that the comb attachment follows the contours
of your head/body. Instructions for trimming hair on various parts of the head are given below.
note T he hair clips will enable you to keep longer hair out of the way whilst you are using the clippers.
triMMing - neck
4. Fit the required comb attachment, for example comb 1 (3 mm) or 2 (6 mm).
5. Keep the cutting comb face upwards, and trim the hair in your neck from the bottom.
6. Trim the hair in successive widths, and from bottom to top.
7. M ove the clippers slowly so that the cutting comb trims all the hair. Slow trimming gives the best result.
triMMing - Back of the head
8. Fit the required comb attachment, for example comb 3 (9 mm) or 4 (12 mm).
9. T rim the hair on the back of the head by slowly moving the trimmer from the bottom to the top, against
the direction of growth.
triMMing - sides
10. F it the required comb attachment, for example comb 1 (3 mm) or 2 (6 mm) and trim the hair on the
temples.
11. U sing the angled comb attachments 7 (left ear) and 8 (right ear) will enable you to trim the hair around
the ears to a shorter length without cutting other hair.
12. U se a short comb attachment for sideburns. Move the trimmer from top to bottom, with the cutting comb
facing downwards.
triMMing - top of the head (crown)
13. F it a large comb attachment, for example comb 3 (9 mm), 4 (12 mm), 5 (16 mm) or 6 (20 mm). Obviously
you can always use a smaller comb attachment if you require shorter hair.
14. T rim the top of the head by moving the trimmer from the back to the front, against the direction of growth.
15. W hen the hair on the top of the head is very long you can use the comb to lift the hair whilst you use the
clippers to trim the hair above the comb.
triMMing - finishing
16. U sing the clippers without a comb attachment will enable you to obtain a clean edge at the base of the
neck.
triMMing - tips
•
Washing and drying your hair and then combing it thoroughly will make it more supple when you trim it.
•
Comb your hair before and regularly during trimming to make sure it remains in the required model.
•
D o not move the clippers too quickly; allow the cutting comb to pass through the hair without using force.
Comb your hair regularly during trimming to check that it has been trimmed evenly.
cleAning And MAintenAnce
Clean the clippers thoroughly after each use.
1. R emove the comb attachment, where relevant, from the clippers so that you can clean the appliance
thoroughly.
2. U se the brush to remove hairs from the trimmer head and from the cavity in the appliance.
