Observed Default
No flame is obtained.
Burner flame does not stay
alight.
You can hear the spark but not
see it.
The spark is visible but the
burner does not ignite.

Potential Cause
Gas does not arrive to the burner.
The flame blows when using the gas
tank/bottle for the first time.
Burner cap and/or burner crown are
badly centered on the burner, which
perturbs the flame and prevents it to
warm correctly the thermocouple safety
device.
The burner cap and/or the crown of the
burner are deformed, what prevents the
flame from warming correctly the
thermocouple safety.
The thermocouple is disconnected at
the level of the gas valve adjusting the
burner.
The thermocouple is defective .
The magnet valve of the gas adjusting
the burner does not work any more.
One of the threads is stripped or cut.
The spark is not exactly positioned in
the exit of the gas.
The battery is unloaded.
The battery was put back to front.
There is a bad electric contact.
The ignition case is defective.
The flame is low and fails to ignite.
The flame is low, the supply of the
burner is blocked by a nest of insects.
The flame is low, the injector is blocked.

Proposed solution
Open the gas bottle/tank or replace it if
empty.
Purge the air of the circuit by
maintaining the button on open position
during 5 seconds.
Remove the cook top and replace the
crown and the burner cap (only for La
Plancha 45 model).
Replace the crown and / or the burner
cap of the burner (only for La Plancha
45).
Remove the cook top and reconnect the
brass thread connecting the
thermocouple to the gas valve.
Replace the thermocouple.
Contact our after-sales service to
replace the gas valve.
Replace the thread with the help of the
After-Sales Service.
Correct the position of the electrode with
pliers.
Change the battery.
Follow assembling instructions sticker
placed near the battery.
Verify that the threads of the candle are
all connected according to the plan
supplied.
Contact the after sales services to
replace it.
The gas tank is empty, it must be
replaced.
Follow paragraph 8 of the instructions
manual.
Remove the hotplate and the burner;
take down the injector, clean it with hot
water and by blowing inside.
Follow paragraph 7 of the instructions
manual.
