PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

Measuring accuracy
0˚/90˚ = +/-0.05˚
Display in degrees (˚)
Subdivision in 4 x 90˚ in 0.1˚ increments.
Horizontal = 0˚
Vertical = 90˚
Display in millimetres over metre of run (mm/M)
Metric rise over run is the amount of rise in mm over
one metre of run.
Horizontal = 0mm/M
Vertical = 0mm/M
45˚ = 1000mm/M
Display in percent (%)
In 0.1% increments.
Horizontal = 0%
Vertical = 0%
45˚ = 100%
The display in percent shows the relationship
between the vertical and the horizontal planes of the
angle. e.g. 15% represents a gradient of 150mm over
a length of 1 metre.

INSERTING THE BATTERY

Before operating the device for the first time, please
ensure that the battery is correctly installed. To insert
the battery, undo the threaded inserts on the back of
the unit, remove cover, clip on battery and insert in
battery recess. Please ensure that you only use 9 V
alkaline batteries.
Note: The life of the battery will vary depending on the
working conditions.

TESTING THE ACCURACY

To ensure accurate measuring we would recommend
that you check the calibration before each use.
However the inclinometer must be tested following
any long period of storage, significant temperature
change, moisture or other ingress, or shock (following
a drop).
Horizontal test
Place the unit on a hard surface which is as
horizontal as possible. Switch the inclination gauge
on using the on/off button and after 10 seconds note
the value it displays. Then rotate through 180˚, wait
10 seconds and compare the two values. If the
difference between the two values is more than 0.1˚,
then the unit needs recalibrating.
