in position automatically, and the tension lever (4) returns
to the neutral position.
To unclamp the saw blade (7), release it from the fixation
by turning the tension lever (4). The saw blade can then be
taken out of the slide.
The supporting roller, which prevents the saw blade from
deviating from the path and acts as a strain relief for the
mechanics (slide), automatically produces the clamping
angle of 90° as fence. Obviously, this parameter is appli-
cable only if original manufacturer saw blades are em-
ployed.
Safety instruction:
Accident prevention warning:
Always remove the battery (9) from the appliance
before changing the tool!
Never place the hands in the vicinity of the slide and
saw blade (7) while the machine is running! Danger
of injury!
To avoid injuries, were protective gloves when
changing the saw blade.
Caution!
Always keep the slide cover (3) closed when working.
Danger of accidents!
Caution!
When piercing holes or cutting pockets, keep the
rear or underside of the workpiece free.
Danger of accidents!
Home position
(= gripping position)
Clamping saw blade
Rotate tension lever (4) up to the stop and hold it
fast.
Insert saw blade (7) up to the stop.
Release clamping lever (4).
Important (essential information):
Holding piercing saw blade by its tip, press it
against wooden board until tension lever (4) returns
to the neutral position.
The secure clamping of the saw blade (7) is assured
only once the tension lever has returned to the neu-
tral position. The outer hood (3) can then be closed.
Unclamping saw blade
Rotate clamping lever (4) up to stop and hold fast.
Remove saw blade (7).
Closing lock-out
The machine can only be switched on by pressing the clo-
sing lock-out (2). This protects the machine from being
started accidentally and prevents unintentional discharge
of the battery.
Stop position
ON-OFF switch
The ON-OFF switch (1) allows the stroke speed to be var-
ied continuously and adapted to work with different materi-
als.
Recommended stroke speeds
Low stroke speed when sawing glass, ceramics, metal.
Medium stroke speed when sawing plastic, moulded ma-
terial, plywood
High stroke speed when working hardwood, soft wood
and particle boards.
Working with the battery-powered multifunction saw
When sawing ensure that the stock is pressed up against
the saw fence (6). This pressure is supported in the same
direction by the saw blade (7). When giving the first cut,
disactivate the reciprocating stroke motion. Once a cutting
depth of c. 2–3 mm has been reached, the reciprocating
stroke switch (5) can be used to adjust the reciprocating
stroke level. When sawing metals, disactivate the recipro-
cating stroke function and apply a small quantity of oil to
the cutting location. Plates should be clamped on a firm
subsurface (particle board or plywood panel). This precau-
tion will largely prevent the material from swinging.
Reciprocating stroke adjustment
The reciprocating stroke switch (5) is used to change over
between the reciprocating stroke positions 0 and 1.
Recommended reciprocating stroke position
Pos. 0
for glass, ceramics, soft steel, nonferrous heavy
metals, aluminium and moulded materials
Pos. 1
for plastics, plywood, hardwood, soft wood and
particle boards
Universal tool employment
The toolholder allows different accessory tools such as
grinding fleece, knives or brushes to be used. These tools
can be mounted in the same way as the saw blades. Dis-
activate the reciprocating stroke function when these tools
are in use.
Maintenance and care
Every tool is contaminated with dust when working with
wood, meaning a certain level of care is essential. Make
sure the openings that are necessary to allow the motor to
cool are kept free of dust and dirt at all times. Occasionally
apply a drop of oil to the moving supporting roller for the
saw blade. Otherwise, the battery-powered multifunction
saw is practically maintenance-free. All parts were suffi-
ciently lubricated before the appliance left the factory.
The appliance has interference suppression in conformity
with EN 55014.
Noise level (idling)
A typical noise measurement of the measured area sound
pressure level, measured at a distance of 1 m from the sur-
face of the appliance is
+3
L
= 70
dB(A).
PA
The corresponding A-weighted sound pressure level is
+3
L
= 83
dB(A)
WA
and the emission value relative to the workplace is
+3
L
= 73
dB(A).
PA
The noise level of this electrical tool is measured in accor-
dance with IEC 59 (CO) 11, IEC 704, DIN 45635 – Pt 1
+ 21, NVA 31-031 and ISO 9614-1.
The sound pressure level may exceed 85 dB (A); in this case,
noise protection measures are required for the oper-ator.
Vibration
The weighted acceleration is typically 5 m/s
