Toasting ends when the toast raises slowly
(soft lift). The toaster switches off
automatically and ring lamp 12 goes out.
Press Off button 11 if you wish to interrupt the
toasting process before it is complete.
Info: After some time, toasting level display 7
goes out and the toaster is now in stand by
mode. Turning rotary ring 8, pressing Off
button 11, or turning toasting level selector 10
switches the toaster back on again.
It is only possible to close dust cover 1 if the
toaster is not in use and has cooled down.
Tip: To toast one slice, set a lower toasting
level than you would for two slices.
Note: If the slice of bread becomes trapped,
the toaster switches off automatically. Pull out
the appliance plug and carefully remove the
bread once it has cooled down.
General: Food to be toasted should only be
toasted until it is golden and not dark or
brown, remove any burnt edges. Do not toast
foods containing starch too much, especially
cereals and potato products (to keep the
production of acrylamide to a minimum).
Warming
Do not lay aluminium foil on warming rack 3.
Do not toast at the same time.

Turn rotary knob 4 anti clockwise to the
stop. The warming rack 3 extends.

Set the required toasting level to no higher
than level 2.5 using variable browning
control 10.

Switch the toaster on using rotary ring 8.
Cleaning
Never immerse the toaster in water or put
it in the dishwasher.
Do not use a steam cleaner.

Unplug the appliance plug and let the
toaster cool down. Remove crumbs from
under the warming rack using a hard
brush.

Remove crumb tray 5 and wipe it out.
S
Wipe the outside of the toaster with a
damp cloth, do not use harsh or abrasive
detergents.

with European Directive 2002/96/EC (waste
electrical and electronic equipment WEEE).
This directive provides the EU wide legal
foundation for the return and recycling of used
appliances.
