INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ON FIRST USE
• Before using the appliance, wash all the parts that come into contact with food.
(see Cleaning paragraph).
HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE FOR GRILLING
• Put the appliance on a flat, steady surface away from inflammable materials and
substances.
• Close the appliance by placing one plate over the other and plug into outlet.
• The red light (3) will come on to show that the appliance is ON and the plates are
heating up.
• The appliance is ready to be used when the green light (2) comes on.
• Open the appliance by the handle and put in the food without adding oil or other
seasoning; be careful not to touch the hot parts.
• Close the appliance so that the food inside is in contact with both plates.
• The green light (2) will automatically come on and go off during grilling indicating that
the plates are being kept at a constant temperature.
• Remove any juice formed during cooking with a non-scratch kitchen utensil; be careful,
as it is very hot.
• Open the appliance by the handle when you have finished grilling and remove the food
with a non-scratch kitchen utensil; be careful, as the plates are very hot.
• Close the appliance again to keep in the heat if you want to grill something else.
• Unplug from the supply outlet when you have finished and leave the appliance to cool
down before cleaning it and putting it away. Grilling time depends on the type of food,
thickness and personal taste; with use and experience you will be able to decide the
most appropriate timing to get the best results.
CAUTION!
There may be some smoke when you use the appliance for the first time, this
is normal and is due to residue from production protective substances on the
resistance inside: this will disappear when you use it again.
IMPORTANT!!
• Do not use the appliance near to sources of heat.
• Make sure the cord does not touch the hot parts of the appliance.
• Use the appliance at a proper distance from easily inflammable materials (curtains,
tablecloths, etc.) as they could catch fire.
• Do not scratch the special coating on the grill plates as you might find some bits of
coating in the food: use non-scratch utensils only.
• The appliance does not have a switch so you must always unplug from the outlet when
it is not being used.
• The appliance plates reach very high temperatures, so it is necessary to choose a
safe place for the operation and keep a distance of at least 10 cm from the appliance.
