D Stopping Work
1. Screw back metering nut fully to free
pistol lever and prevent undesired glue
discharge.
2. Remove nozzle and place in water or
flush out.
3. Place pistol in water reservoir.
E Refilling
1. Exhaust air pressure through pressure
release valve.
Pull up knurled nut.
2. To check that tank is exhausted press on
pistol handle.
3. Loosen thumb screws.
4. Refill with glue or put in a new glue con-
tainer. Fit drilled lid onto container.
5. Before fitting the lid of the pressure con-
tainer check that the air holes for the
pressure gauge and pressure release
valve for cleanliness. Clean if necessary.
6. Pressurize container.
F Cleaning
1. To prevent the glue from drying out the pistol must always be placed in the wa-
ter reservoir after use.
2. Place nozzle in water immediately after
use.
3. All nozzles, particularly those with mul-
tiple glue outlets are to be regularly
flushed out using water tap connector.
This is only available from us for
thread.
4. The gluing apparatus must be cleaned
periodically. This is carried out quite
simply by filling it with clean water.
G Maintenance
1. Check the pressure gauge, valve and safety valve for correct functioning. The
safety valve must open at the latest with 6 bar air pressure.
2. Clean safety holes on lid circumference whenever necessary.
3. The gluing pistol closing pin must be kept clean and must not be damaged with
hard objects.
H Operating and Maintenance Instructions for
Glue Pistols
For troublefree operation the following must be observed:
– Do not let glue dry in pistol!
When not in use place pistol in water; height of water about 3 cm
– Oil cup seal regularly on pneumatic pistols. In automatic operation we recom-
mend a maintenance unit with an oil additive.
– If the pistol has dried out, replace gasket and/or cup seal.
Dismantling the Glue Pistol
No special tools are necessary.
