The following safety instructions and operating instructions should be read
carefully and borne in mind before and during the use of pneumatic tools.
Keep these operating instructions in a safe place.
General safety instructions
• Keep your working area tidy. An untidy working area increases the risk of accidents.
• Bear in mind the effect of your surroundings. Do not leave your tools out in the rain. Do
not use your tools in damp or wet conditions. Ensure that lighting is adequate.
• Keep children away. Do not allow others tamper with the tool or its pressure hose, and
ensure that they remain at a distance from your working area.
• Store your tools properly. Tools should be stored in a dry, locked place when not in use,
and should be kept out of reach of children.
• Do not overload the tool. These work better and more safely when used within their design
range.
• Use the correct tool. Do not use low-powered tools for heavy work. Do not use your tools
for purposes for which there are not designed.
• Wear appropriate work clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or ornaments. These can
become caught in moving parts. When at work, work gloves and skid-proof shoes are
recommended. Wear a hair net if you have long hair.
• Use eye protectors. Use a dust mask when performing tasks which produce dust, and ear
protectors.
• Do not misuse the pressure hose. Do not carry your tool by the pressure hose. Protect the
pressure hose from heat, oil and sharp edges.
• Ensure that work conditions are safe. Avoid abnormal body positions and ensure that you
are balanced at all times.
• Take good care of your tools. Keep your tools clean, so that these work well and safely.
Follow the maintenance instructions and those for exchanging tool components.
• Check the connections and the pressure hose regularly and change these if they are
damaged. Keep the handgrip dry and free of oil and grease.
• Disconnect the pressure hose after use, when cleaning or maintenance of the pneumatic
tool, and when changing components.
• Ensure that all tool keys are removed.
• Avoid accidental operation. Do not carry tools by their operating trigger when these are
connected to a compressor.
• Be attentive at all times. Pay attention to your work, and proceed reasonably. Do not use
the tool if you are distracted.
• Check your equipment for damage. Check the tool's safety fittings and easily damaged
components carefully to ensure these are undamaged and operating well before use. Check
that moving parts are operating correctly, that these do not become stuck, and that they are
not damaged. All components must be correctly assembled and meet their normal
requirements, to ensure the trouble-free operation of the equipment.
