Do not look directly into the laser beam with the
naked eye.
Never look directly into the laser path.
Never direct the laser beam at reflecting surfaces,
persons or animals. Even a low output laser beam
can inflict injury on the eye.
Caution: It is vital to follow the work procedures
described in these instructions. Using the tool in
any other way may result in hazardous exposure
to laser radiation.
Never open laser module.
When the tool is not going to be used for an
extended period of time, the batteries should be
removed.

3. Use
This device is designed for measuring distances
indoors by means of ultrasonic waves. Used
correctly it can be used to easily and accurately
measure lengths, areas and volumes.

5. Operation
Inserting and changing batteries (Fig. 3)
Important.
Always make sure that the laser is switched off
before you insert the batteries!
Open the battery compartment cover (16) as shown
in Fig. 3 and insert the battery supplied. Check that
the battery terminals are positioned correctly. Use
only alkaline-manganese batteries. Use batteries
with the same capacity and voltage.
Change the battery if the "LOWBATT" indicator
appears on the LCD (3). Important. A failure to
replace the battery promptly may result in incorrect
measurement results.
Switching on
Press the measure button (6 briefly. The LCD (3) will
display "0.00 m".
Measuring
Position the rear of the device at the starting point of
the measurement. Align the device perpendicular to
the target surface and press the measure key (6).
The distance between the rear of the device and the
target surface will appear on the LCD. If there is an
error or the distance is too great (> 15 m), the device
will display ERROR". All the keys are disabled during
the measuring process.
