Commissioning
Before commissioning make sure that:
• the appliance has been mounted according to instructions,
• the electrical connections have been carried out correctly,
• the appliance is not damaged in any way.

Cleaning
Clean only with a damp cloth using water or mild non-chafing, non-scratch-
ing cleaning fluid. Never use aggressive substances or solvents when clean-
ing.

10.1
Maintenance and servicing
Following assembly and service work the following points must be checked
before re-commissioning. In the interest of explosion protection the following
points are to be regularly checked on all devices, including the maintenance-
free devices of the 728 and 729 series.
• Cracks or damage to the glass dome or the light fitting housing
• Connecting lead in a perfect condition?
• Are the cable inlet itself and the seal inside the cable inlet in a proper work-
ing order?
• Are the cable inlet and the plug tightly fitted?
• Is the electrical connection in a perfect condition? Are the PE conductor
and the equipotential bonding conductor connected?
• Are the interiors (Ex d and Ex e housings) clean and in a perfect condition?
• Retighten signal lamp fastening screws! Check for signs of corrosion.

Repair
Repairs to the flameproof housing are not permitted and as a matter of princi-
ple must be carried out by the manufacturer. Components may only be
replaced by original spare parts!

Disposal
Observe national waste disposal regulations when disposing of the appliance!
