3. Range of use
CrossTools diesel pumps are highly efficient peripheral electrical pumps for discharging diesel fuel, fuel oil and
rapeseed oil. The typical areas of use of these high-quality products include: Filling and emptying of tanks,
decanting of diesel fuel, fuel oil and rapeseed oil, fuelling-up of trucks, automobiles, agricultural and construction
machines.
CrossTools diesel pumps are suitable for stationary or temporary installation.
These products with their convincing performance data may be used both on a private or industrial level.
The scope of delivery includes a suction hose, an intake filter with a check (or non-return) valve, a pistol-type fuel
nozzle (without automatic stop feature), connection pieces, hose clamps and sealing rings.
The pump must not be used for diesel fuel, when gasoline was added. The flash point of
diesel is considerably lowered by the addition of gasoline.
The pump is not suitable for discharging salty water, dirty water, feces, gasoline, easily
inflammable, explosive or acid-containing liquids. Likewise, it is must not be used for
conveying drinking water and other food.
The liquid to be discharged must not contain any abrasive matters - such as sand, for
instance. If the pumped liquid actually does contain matters of this kind, the use of an intake
filter is indispensable. The fluid being discharged must not exceed the maximum temperature
indicated in the technical specification.
With storage containers from and above 1,000 litres the pump, by virtue of legal provisions,
must only be used if the fuel nozzle is equipped with an automatic stop feature (not included in
the scope of delivery).
