SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS APPLIANCE:
24. Danger of burns! Do not handle the appliance when in use. The appliance
becomes hot. Use the handles or buttons as shown.
25. To avoid personal injury and damages to the appliance, do not remove bread
from the toaster whilst it is in operation.
26. Do not toast bread with a high sugar content or bread with a sugar coating or sprinkles. Do
not apply spread before toasting bread.
27. Danger of fire or electric shock! Do not insert slices of bread that are too
thick, metal foil or tools into the toaster.
28. Do not cover the appliance while it is in use or shortly after use, whilst it is still hot.
Allow the appliance to cool completely before storing.
29. Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Carefully remove all packaging materials and retain for future use.
2. Place the toaster on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
3. Unwind the power cord (3) completely from the cord storage located at the bottom of the
appliance.
4. Make sure the crumb tray (4) is put in place.
5. Connect the power plug (3) to a suitable wall outlet.
6. Allow the appliance to complete several toasting cycles without food, until no odour or smoke is
present. During test operation, ensure ample ventilation and select the highest setting (toast level 5).
7 . Clean the appliance ( Care and maintenance).
NOTE: Due to the manufacturing process, the appliance may emit a slight burning odour
when first switched on. This is normal and does not indicate any defect or hazard.
OPERATION
1. Insert bread slices of regular size in the bread slots (1) (fig.
2. Select the desired toast level with the toast level control (5). Choose between levels 1 to 5
according to your preference (1 is the lowest setting, 5 is the highest setting).
TIPS:
Use a lower setting when toasting a single bread slice or slightly dry bread.
Use a higher setting when toasting fresh or whole wheat bread.
When toasting raisin or other fruit breads, remove any loose raisins from the surface
of the bread before placing into the toaster.
3. Connect the power plug (3) to a suitable wall outlet.
4. Press the toast lever (2) downward until it locks in place (fig. 3).

NOTE: The toast lever (2) will not lock unless the appliance is connected to a suitable wall
outlet.
5. When the set toast level is reached, the toast lever (2) pops up and the appliance switches off
automatically.
6. Press STOP button (6) anytime during any mode to manually stop the toasting process.
CAUTION:
To prevent the appliance from overheating, allow it to cool down for at least 15 seconds
between toasting cycles.
If toast becomes stuck, press the STOP button (6) and disconnect the power plug (3)
from the power socket. Remove toast carefully after the appliance has cooled.
HEATING ROLLS / BUNS
1. Extend the roll rack (7) (fig. 1).
2. Place the rolls or buns on the rack (7). Make sure not to toast bread at the same time.
3. To start heating, follow the same procedure as for toasting bread.
4. Turn the rolls from time to time. Since the rolls might get hot, we suggest using cooking tongs to
remove them from the rack (7) or waiting a few minutes until they cool.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1.
Before each cleaning, make sure the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the mains.
2. Allow the appliance to cool completely.
3. Remove the crumb tray (4) from the appliance and dispose of crumbs (fig.
4. Rinse the crumb tray (4) with clean water and a little mild detergent. The crumb tray is dishwasher
safe. Allow to dry completely and replace.
5. Turn the appliance upside down and shake lightly to remove any remaining crumbs.
6. Clean the appliance housing with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent. Let it dry completely.
NOTE: Do not use corrosive detergents, abrasive cleaners, metal or sharp implements to
clean the crumb tray (4) or the appliance housing.
