Cable cutter SC40
Use
• Release hand lever 1 by turning locking knob 2
in position ON.
• Hold handle 1 fully open and press down the
retaining pawl 3. It is now possible to turn the
pivoted blade 4 as required.
• Insert the cable and turn the pivoted blade 4
until the edge of the blade rests on the cable.
Do not cut angularly!
• Squeeze the handles to manually operate the
pivoted blade 4 during the cutting process.
• Releasing the pivoted blade 4 is possib-
le during cutting proceeding as follows:
Squeeze handles 1 (both halves) together until
the retaining pawl 3 can easily be disengaged.
Keeping the retaining pawl 3 pressed down, re-
lease handle 1 and turn back the pivoted plate
4.
• Lock lever 1 by turning the locking knob 2 in
position OFF during squeezing both handles.
Maintenance
• Oil movable parts.
• Brush ratchet teeth.
The tool is only for use in applications pur-
poses described in the operating instruc-
tions.
Using this tool for tasks other than those descri-
bed may lead to accidents or the destruction of
the tool.
The tool must only be repaired by an electro-
mechanical specialist or by the manufacturer.
For works of external staff we assume no liabili-
ty. Use only original BAUDAT spare parts! If not,
claims of the warranty declaration expires.
For copper and aluminium cables
up to Ø 40 mm.
Not suitable for cutting steel-armou-
red cables, aluminium alloys and
hard drawn copper conductors!
Do not live working!
Switch off current!
No extremities near the blades!
