Activate and test

Before using the smoke alarm, it is important to activate and test the product. Place the smoke
alarm on the mounting plate (checklines in position e) and turn it clockwise UNTIL YOU FEEL A
CLICK (to position f)! Then press the test button; the LED will start blinking and the siren will give
the LOW volume test signal. If this is not the case, check if you turned in position f, if it is, do not
use the unit and contact the supplier.
Note: The test signal volume is lower than the alarm signal volume. To hear the volume of the
alarm signal, press and hold the test button for approx. 15 seconds. A few seconds after the test
signal, you will hear the alarm signal of > 85 dB (A).

We recommend to install smoke alarms in the following areas:
•
At least 1 smoke alarm on every floor.
•
In rooms that are part of an escape route (hall, landing).
•
In bedrooms (especially in children's rooms).
•
In rooms with electrical appliances (especially adaptors ,
washing machines, adaptors, dryers).
•
In remote rooms that are used often but where the alarm
signal of other devices might not be heard.
•
A smoke alarm can monitor an area of up to 60 m
an additional smoke alarm if the surface area of a room is
larger than 60 m
