Operation
Insert the straightedge in the guide with the groove facing upwards and, after setting the required length or making adjustments, fix in place using the straightedge
clamping screw (3). Adjust the rail with the main stop (5) on an even surface, e.g. granite marking plate or straightening plate. Following adjustment, check whether
"0 degrees" can be read off the scale; readjust if necessary. Fitting of the radial stop for the purpose of measuring internal and external angles of grooves. Loosen the
groove bolt of the radial stop by approx. 16-18 mm, and insert in the intermediate space of the main stop (5). The bolt must be completely inserted and then turned
through 90 degrees. Finally, fix the radial stop in place using the locking screw. Some examples of use are given below.
