Application
The type SME-l-S 9 proximity switch is used
for non-contacting signalling.
In buying this proximity switch, you have
decided in favour of a Festo product which

Final-position sensing, operating and standstill
monitoring, position displays, interlocks, count-
ing cycles etc.
Mounting
Simple, reliable and precise mounting of the
proximity switches using mounting rod @.
Operation
Magnetically actuated proximity switch for
electrical signalling.
Example:
A permanent magnet is mounted on the piston
of a cylinder (Festo compressed air cylinders
for non-contacting sensing); the magnetic field
of the permanent magnet actuates a proximity
switch mounted outside on the non-magnetic
cylinder barrel.
