Speed Cutter BO 4580.0/ BO 4580.1/ BO 4580.2
Operating Instructions
Unscrew the cap (12) of the oil reservoir and fill the tank with sufficient
cutting fluid. Screw the cap back on.
In order to achieve the best possible cutting results, use Silberschnitt cutting
fluid only.
Slide the cutting head holder (7) onto the scaled bar (4) . The scale indicator
(9) must point toward the roller housing (5). With the fixation screw (14),
tighten the cutting head holder (7) on the scale corresponding to the size of
the glass to be cut. The scaled bar indicates centimetres as well as inches.
Position the rollers of the roller housing (5) against the edge of the glass and
put the cutting head holder (7) onto the glass surface to be cut. To cut safely
and comfortably, grip the rubber handle (13) of the scaled bar (4), and with
slight pressure move the cutting head in the cutting direction. The result is a
cut which is perfectly parallel to the guiding edge.
Should the cut glass dimension show tolerances, these can be corrected by
adjusting the red scale indicator (9).
In case of wear, the cutting head holder (7), the cutting head (8) and the guide
rollers can be replaced.
Assembly and use
Set the scaled bar onto the pre-mounted threaded pin of the roller housing. Be
sure the rollers in the roller housing aim in the correct direction (see diagram).
Fasten the scaled bar onto the roller housing with the aid of the bolt (1), two-
holed washer (11) and cap nut (3).
Please note: Do not use any electric tools such as cordless electric
screwdrivers, etc.
Remove the pre-assembled cutting head holder (7) from the packaging and
slide it onto the scaled bar (4). Make sure that the scale indicator (9) is aimed
toward the roller housing. You can fine adjust the scale indicator after having
done a trial cut.
Push the rubber handle (13) onto the scaled bar (4). If done correctly, the rubber
handle can be slid over the scaled bar easily.
To change the position of the rubber handle, lightly push at its edge towards
the left or right. (If you grip the middle of the rubber handle, it cannot be moved
sideways.)
