FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Question: The appliance does not turn on.
Answer: Please make sure that the power cable is
connected correctly and that the collecting container
and funnel attachment are locked in place.
Question: The appliance suddenly stops working.
Answer: Excessive pressure on the food item during
the cutting process may cause the appliance to lock
up. This can be prevented by pushing the plunger
downwards more slowly.
Question: Can all removable parts be washed in the
dishwasher?

Answer: Yes, with the exception of the motor unit.
Question: The blade of the yellow cutting insert
(dicer) clogs in the holder when cutting.
Answer: This can happen when cutting very soft
cheeses, as they can stick between the knife and the
insert. Turn off the power, remove the cutting blade
(see Fig. T) and carefully clean the cutting blade
and cutting insert before putting them back into the
appliance.
Question: Why does the motor generate an
unpleasant odour while working?
Answer: New appliances often emit an unpleasant
odour or some smoke during the first few uses. This
ceases after a few applications. The appliance may
also emit an unpleasant odour or smoke if used for
extended periods of time. In such a case, you must
switch off the appliance and allow it to cool down for
60 minutes.
