OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
2. Operating the Trimmer
a) Use the trimmer at an angle of
approximately 20
Fig. 20).
b) Do not overload your trimmer. Make small
passes in a semi-circular arc (see Fig 21, 22
and 23), especially when cutting long grass.
This will keep the machine operating at a high
speed and will greatly improve the cutting
efficiency of the trimmer.
c) When cutting near fences, walls, flower
beds, etc. use the edge of the guard as a
guide – this will save damage to structures and
plants.
3. Edging Function
The trimmer is easily converted into an edger.
To adjust the trimmer for edging, depress the
button in the handle and rotate the handle
180° counter-clockwise (see Fig. 24). The
A
roller on the cutting head will assist in guiding
the trimmer along an edge. Be sure to move
the spacer guard into its raised position and
lock it in place against the motor housing.

MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE
Your power tool requires no additional
lubrication or maintenance. There are no user
serviceable parts in your power tool. Never
use water or chemical cleaners to clean your
power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always
store your power tool in a dry place. Keep the
motor ventilation slots clean. Keep all working
controls free of dust. If you see some sparks
flashing in the ventilation slots, this is normal
and will not damage your power tool.
Your trimmer line can dry out over time. To
keep your line in top condition, store spare
pre-wound spools or bulk line in a sealed
plastic bag.
Inspect tool cords periodically and if damaged,
have repaired by authorized service facility.
