CUTTING BOLTS
See Figure 3, page 8.
 Install the battery pack.
 Pull the upper switch trigger to open the jaws.
 Hold the tool with both hands as shown and position the
lower jaw firmly against the bolt.
 Pull the lower switch trigger to begin cutting the bolt.
NOTE: The jaws close slowly. Do not attempt to force
the tool; allow the tool to do the work.
WARNING:
The material being cut is under high pressure and can
become flying debris as the cut is completed. Wear
eye protection and make sure the work area is clear of
bystanders or objects that could be damaged by bolt
heads.
 When the bolt is cut through, release the switch trigger
and remove the battery pack.
 When cutting harder materials or larger bolts, additional
cuts may be required. If the bolt is not cut through on the
initial pass, open the jaws again and cut into the same
space, or back out of the cut and try cutting into the same
space a second time.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other part could create a hazard or cause
product damage.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and can be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
REPLACING JAWS
See Figures 5 - 8, page 9.
Jaws may be replaced when they no longer cut efficiently.
 Remove the battery pack.
To remove the jaw cover:
 Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the eight screws that
secure the upper and lower jaw covers.

ADJUSTING THE JAWS
See Figure 4, page 8.
With use, the jaws may develop a gap that could result in
incomplete cuts and should be adjusted.
WARNING:
Never remove the jaw cover before making a jaw
adjustment. Attempting to adjust the jaws without the
cover installed can result in serious personal injury.
 Remove the battery pack and place the tool on a flat
surface with the eccentric bolts facing up.
 Using a 13 mm wrench, hold the eccentric bolt. With a
second 13 mm wrench, slightly loosen the lock nut on
the other side.
 Turn the eccentric bolts to adjust the jaws until the gap
is closed.
 Tighten the lock nut.
To remove the jaws:
 Using a 5 mm hex key and 10 mm wrench, remove the
upper and lower linkage bolts, nuts, and washers.
 Using a pair of 13 mm wrenches, loosen and remove the
upper and lower eccentric bolts, washers, and lock nuts.
NOTE: Secure each bolt with a wrench while loosening the
nuts.
 Remove the upper and lower jaws.
To replace the jaws:
 Align the holes in each jaw with the hole for the linkage
bolt and the eccentric bolt.
 Replace and tighten the linkage bolt, washer, and nut.
NOTE: Do not overtighten, as this can flatten the washer.
 Replace and tighten the eccentric bolt, washer, and nut.
 Repeat with the second jaw.
To reinstall the upper and lower jaw covers:
 Align the holes in the covers with holes in the tool.
 Insert the Phillips screws and tighten.
