Intended use
- Solar powered chain drive for electric opening and
closing of Roto® and VELUX® roof windows, as
well as outwards opening top hung windows.
- Operation via radio remote control
- Useable for daily natural ventilation
- Only for inside mounting
Safety notes
- The drive has limit stop settings and overload
cut-off settings which trigger it to stop.
The generated force is powerful enough to crush
limbs. There is danger to life and injury risk.
- If the window is within normal human reach
(the lower edge is less than 2.5 m above the floor),
the drive must only be operated to CLOSE the
window while keeping an eye out for blockages,
or in the tip mode.
- Keep people away from the operation area of the
drive
- Keep children away from the remote control
- Use only in dry rooms
- Only for inside mounting
- Use unmodified original D+H parts only
- The safety sticker enclosed with the
drive must be placed on the frame of
the window in a clearly visible area.
Correct ventilation
Over the course of the day, the air quality in a room is
heavily impacted by the environment and its use.
In particular, the CO2 produced through respiration
worsens the air quality, as does the rising of humidity
and the emissions of equipment and furniture.
This stale air has to be regularly exchanged for fresh
air.
Ventilate at least four times a day during the summer
months and at least twice a day during the winter,
depending on the outdoor temperature and how
much the room is occupied.
For this purpose, the drive has a comfortable 10-
minute ventilation setting which automatically closes
the window again after this period.
The 10-minute ventilation setting is especially
practical during cool months when the heating is on,
as this short period and lower loss of heat is far more
energy efficient than keeping the windows open the
entire time.
