Do not leave small children unsupervised with the unit, batteries, packaging
material or small parts. Otherwise there is a risk of fatal injury due to choking.

Ensure that the battery is not short circuited or exposed to fire. The battery must
not be opened or recharged. Otherwise there is a risk of fatal injury due to
explosion.

Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns by contact with skin. Handle these
using suitable protective gloves.
Attention!
If the following points are not observed there is a risk of damage to
property.

Operate the unit only with the supplied mains adapter or with the specified
battery.
!
Prevent contact with moisture.
!
Remove the battery when the unit is not used for a longer period.
7. Preparation for use
!
If desired, install a battery (optional, not included)
#
push the clip (2) towards the battery compartment lid (1) and prise this
upwards
#
connect a 9 V alkaline block battery (4) to the battery clip (5)
#
position the battery in the battery compartment (3)
#
replace the battery compartment lid
!
Plug the DC-plug of the mains adapter into the socket (7)
!
Plug the mains adapter into a mains power socket.
8. Operation
Amplifier function
!
pull the supports (6) outwards
!
lay the mobile telephone on the unit (13) so that the top end of the telephone
touches the support (14) and the button (15) is depressed. This is signalled by a
beep sound and a short red flash of the LEDs (11).
!
Push the supports (6) inwards so that the telephone is held centrally on the unit
(see Fig. 2)
!
Position the switch (12) to the desired function:
0
= no acoustic signal (only flashing LEDs)
= normal volume
= high volume
!
Position the switch (16) to the desired acoustic signal
Ring sound = Klingel
Melody
= Melodie
!
On an incoming call or SMS the LEDs (11) will flash and the selected acoustic
signal will sound. The unit reacts within 5 seconds. If the telephone is picked up
during the ringing, the signals from the unit will stop automatically. If the
telephone is not picked up, the missed call or SMS will be indicated by the
flashing of the LEDs (11) approx. every 20 seconds. This signal will stop when the
telephone is picked up.
Note:

If another mobile telephone is placed within one meter of the unit, whilst this is
operational, it is possible that the unit also reacts to calls and SMS to this
telephone.
!
If the unit reacts for no apparent reason, change the position of the unit.
!
Do not make outgoing calls from a telephone with is lying on the unit, the unit
also reacts to outgoing calls or SMS.
USB-charging function
The unit has a 5 V DC, 500 mA output for the charging of mobile telephones which
have a USB-charging cable.

Read the manual of the telephone before using this function.

Connect the USB-cable (supplied with the telephone) between the telephone and
the harging connection (12) - see Fig.3. After 2 seconds the charging LED (9) will
flash every second to indicate charging. When the charging-LED lights
continuously the charging is finished (with more recent telephone models check
this on the telephone display).
Note:

If the charging current exceeds 500 mA, the charging will be automatically
stopped in order to avoid possible damage to the telephone. This will be indicated
by a rapid flashing (4 x per second) of the charging LED(9).

If the call amplifier function is required during charging, then place the telephone
on the unit.
!
When the charging is finished then disconnect the USB cable.
9. Battery replacement
A weak battery will be indicated the flashing (2 x per second) of the battery-LED (8).

10. Maintenance + cleaning

The unit is maintenance-free.
!
Regularly check the technical safety and functioning.
!
Before you clean the device, pull the mains adapter out of the mains socket. Use a
dry cloth for cleaning the surfaces. For stubborn dirt, clean the surfaces with a
soft, fluff-free, slightly moist cloth without cleaning additives. Carefully clean the
slits of the loudspeaker with a dry brush.

12. Disposal
Packaging material and used batteries or products must not be disposed as
household waste. You must use your recycling system. Details are available
