General safety rules

WARNING! Be sure to read all the instructions. Failure to comply with all the instructions
stated
below may result in electric shock, fire and/or severe injuries. The term "power tools" in all the
warnings stated hereafter refers to hand power tools connected to mains and to battery operated
tools (cordless).
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
1) Work area
a) Ensure that the work area is kept clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas are accident prone.
b) Do not use power tools in an explosive environment, i.e. in the presence of inflammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools produce sparks which could ignite dust or vapors.
c) Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance when using a power tool. Being distracted
might result in losing control of the power tool.
2) Electrical safety
a) The tool's power plug must be suited to the electrical network. Never modify the power plug
in any way. Do not use an adapter with power tools which are electrically grounded. Non
modified power plugs and an appropriate electrical network reduce the risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with any surfaces connected to ground, such as pipes, radiators,
stoves and refrigerators. The risk of electric shock is higher if your body is grounded. Water in a
power tool increases the risk of electric shock.
c) The power cord must always be in good condition. Never use the power cord to carry, pull
or unplug a power tool. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving
parts. Damaged or tangled power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
d) When using a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord designed for outdoor use. The
use of a power cord suited to outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay vigilant, watch what you are doing and use common sense when using a power tool.
Do not use a power tool if you are tired, under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A short lapse of attention while using a power tool may result in severe injuries.
