Two COM port adapters for P20U
The Shuttle XPC all-in-one P20U comes
with two COM ports as standard. Adding
PCP21, two more COM ports will be avail-
able which makes it a total of four serial
COM ports (RS232) with Sub-D connectors.

Shuttle XPC all-in-one Barebone P20U.
Quick Installation Guide
Due to safety reasons, please turn off your
computer completely first and unplug it from
the power supply.
1. Unscrew four screws of the back cover.
2. Pull the back cover upward and put it aside.
Unscrew the two screws of the D-Sub
(VGA) port on the motherboard and remove
the D-Sub (VGA) cable.
Remove the two perforated covers from the
chassis which is where the new COM ports
are to be installed.
3. Take the two COM port adapters PCP21 out
of the packaging and remove the hexagon
screws.
4. Insert the two D-Sub connectors of the
COM port adapter PCP21 in the
corresponding openings and affix them with
the supplied screws.
Connect the adapter cables to the "COM 3"
and "COM 4" headers on the daughter
board.
Remove Jumper "JP13" from the daughter
board in order to activate the new COM
ports.
5. Reconnect the D-Sub (VGA) cable to
"VGA1" and replace the back cover, then
refasten the screws.

Zwei COM-Port-Adapter für P20U
Der Shuttle XPC all-in-one P20U verfügt
bereits über zwei COM-Ports ab Werk und
kann mit Hilfe von PCP21 um zwei weitere
COM-Ports aufgerüstet werden. Nach der
Installation von PCP21 stehen somit insge-
samt vier COM Schnittstellen (RS232) mit
Sub-D-Anschluss zur Verfügung.

Kurzanleitung
Vor der Installation entfernen Sie bitte aus
Sicherheitsgründen alle angeschlossenen
Kabel.
1. Entfernen Sie die vier Schrauben der
Abdeckung auf der Rückseite.
2. Heben Sie die Abdeckung nach oben und
legen Sie sie beiseite. Lösen Sie die beiden
Schrauben des D-Sub/VGA Anschlusses
auf dem Mainboard und entfernen Sie das
D-Sub/VGA-Kabel.
Entfernen Sie die perforierten Abdeckungen
am Gehäuse, wo die neuen COM-Ports
eingebaut werden.
3. Entnehmen Sie die beiden COM-Port-
Adapter PCP21 aus der Verpackung und
entfernen Sie die Sechskantschrauben.
4. Bauen Sie die beiden D-Sub-Anschlüsse
der COM-Port-Adapter PCP21 mit den
mitgelieferten Schrauben in die
Gehäuseöffnung ein.
Verbinden Sie die Adapterkabel mit den
Anschlüssen "COM 3" und "COM 4" auf der
Tochterplatine.
Entfernen Sie Jumper "JP13" von der
Tochterplatine, damit die beiden neuen
COM-Ports aktiviert werden.
5. Verbinden Sie das D-Sub/VGA-Kabel
wieder mit dem Anschluss "VGA1" und
schrauben Sie die Gehäuseabdeckung
wieder fest.

avec deux ports COM et peut être équipé de
deux ports COM supplémentaires à l'aide de
PCP21. Après l'installation de PCP21,

Guide rapide
Pour des raisons de sécurité, éteignez
l'ordinateur et débranchez son cordon
d'alimentation.
1. Dévisser les quatre vis du capot arrière.
2. Tirer vers le haut et mettre le capot de côté.
Dévisser les deux vis du port D-Sub/VGA
sur la carte mère et retirer le câble D-
Sub/VGA.
Dégager du châssis les pré-perforations
pour ports COM.
3. Retirer les deux adaptateurs port COM
PCP21 de l'emballage et enlever les vis à
tête hexagonale.
4. Insérer les deux connecteurs D-Sub de
l'adaptateur port COM PCP21 dans les
perforations dédiées et les fixer avec les vis
fournies.
Connecter les câbles adaptateur aux ports
COM 3 et COM 4 de la carte fille.
Retirer le cavalier JP13 de la carte fille pour
activer les nouveaux ports COM.
5. Reconnecter le câble D-Sub/VGA avec le
port VGA1 et réinstaller le capot arrière puis
resserrer les vis.
