Importance
If the filter is used and we use ground coffee, it is necessary to clear any ground coffee around the liquid coffee outlet .This is
necessary to avoid water leakages from the filter holder and to ensure optimum performance. Be careful because the area may
be hot.
1 Preheat the machine as described on "preheating the coffee machine". This will ensure that the coffee is delivered at a higher
temperature. Fit the valve & valve rubber, filter cup and silica gel cushion into the filer holder before fitting to the machine; make
sure that the tab on the filter fits into the slot on the filter holder.
2 Put the coffee pod into the filter cup , and make sure that the pod is properly positioned.
3 Press the pod towards the lower part of the filter cup, and make sure that the paper flaps adhere to the inner part of the filter cup.
4 The pod needs to be well centered and placed in the filter.
5 Fit the silica gel cushion into the filter cup; make sure it fill in all the space between filter cup and coffee pod.
5 Fit the filter holder into liquid coffee outlet and to the right until it locks into position ○,
6 Follow the points to make espresso.
● Always follow the instructions on the package of the pods for the correct positioning of the pods in the filter .
to froth milk for cappuccino
Prepare the espresso as previously described
1 Make sure there is water in the tank.
2 Press the "steam/hot water" button, wait until the OK light stops flashing which indicates that the boiler has reached the correct
temperature .
3 Partly fill a jug with milk –the milk may increase up to three times in volume to select a suitably sized jug.
●Cold semi skimmed milk makes the best cappuccino.
4 Put the jug under the steam/hot water nozzle ○,
5 Put the nozzle into the milk and turn the steam/hot water knob in an anti clockwise direction .The milk will begin to increase in
volume and appear from the bottom upwards .Once the desired temperature is reached (60℃), stop the steam by turning the
steam/hot water knob clockwise .
● Never allow the milk to boil as this will spoil the flavour of the coffee .
● If the steam function is not used within 5 minutes of setting . The appliance will automatically reset to the coffee function .
6 Press the steam button to switch off.
7 Pour the frothed milk into the cups containing the espresso coffee.
Importance
- never operate the steam/hot water nozzle for more than 1 minute at one time .
● After steam delivery ,some steam will give off from the drip tray .This is due to a special device which eliminates steam left in the
boiler then channel it into the drip tray.
Suggestion
- to prepare more than one cappuccino , first make all the espresso then at the end prepare the frothed milk for all
the cappuccinos .
to make espresso after frothing milk
Importance
Never remove the filter holder from its housing immediately after using the steam function.
When you have made cappuccino, you cannot make coffee until the OK light stops flashing for the sake of safety reasons. To
save the waiting time you can cool the machine more quickly as follows:
1 With the steam/hot water knob in the off position (turned clockwise). Press the "steam/hot water" button , the steam/hot water
button /indicator light will flash which indicates the unit is too hot to make espresso(OK light will be off) .
2 Put a cup under the steam/hot water nozzle, and open the steam/hot water knob by turning in an anti-clockwise direction .Hot
water will
come out of the steam/hot water nozzle and the steam/hot water button /indicator light will be off (the OK light will flash
continuously) indicating that the unit is cool enough to make espresso.
3 Turn the steam/hot water knob clockwise to close.
4 The unit is ready to make espresso.
to boil water for other drinks , eg tea .fruit drinks
1 Turn the appliance on by pressing the "on/off" button.
2 Make sure that there is water in the tank.
3 Put a container under the hot water/steam nozzle.
4 When OK light flashes continuously, rotate the steam/hot water knob anti-clockwise. Hot water will come out of the steam
nozzle.
5 To stop the flow of hot water, turn the steam/hot water knob in a clockwise direction.
Do not dispense hot water from the steam nozzle for more than 20 seconds in one operation.
auto switch off
The machine will switch off after 30 minute if not used.
periodical cleaning
Before cleaning ,make sure it is unplug and every part of the machine is cool .
Never immerse the appliance in water.
Do not wash parts in the dishwasher.
● Steam/hot water nozzle
1 Prior to cleaning allow some hot water to flow out of the nozzle (see "to boil water for other drinks") but unplug and allow to
cool
before proceeding .
