OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
5) Attaching the Straight Edge Guide
1. Insert bar of straight edge guide through the slots provided in the base, from
either side. Ensure edge guide is facing down.
2. Tighten the clamping screws in the base to secure the straight edge guide in
place (fig. 6).
6) Blade Storage Compartment
Your jigsaw is equipped with a blade storage area (Fig. 7) in the base of the saw.
Be sure door is closed to prevent blades from falling out.
7) Straight Cutting
Once the straight edge guide is attached, measure from the edge of the
workpiece to the line of cut.
Set the straight edge guide to the same distance and then securely tighten the
clamp screws.
8) Bevel or Angle Cutting
Once the straight edge guide is attached, measure from the edge of the
workpiece to the line of cut.
Set the straight edge guide to the same distance and then securely tighten the
clamp screws.
WARNING
To prevent damage to the tool or personal injury, when adjusting the base
for bevel or angle cutting, disconnect the cord from the power supply.
The base can be adjusted to cut at any angle from 0° to 45° (left or right).
Adjustment: Loosen the two hex screws that secure the base to the tool but do
not remove them. (Fig. 8).
Adjust the position of the base to the desired angle (left or right) and then tighten
the hex screws.
