• Failure to use the device with care may result in a fire. Die To prevent accidents,
do not use the device in a potentially explosive atmosphere, remove all flam-
mable materials/liquids before use, use a heat-resistant work surface and keep
your working area clean.
• Before use, inspect the device for damage and check that the soldering tip
is firmly in place in the correct position. If damaged, do not use; contact cus-
tomer service.
• For reasons of safety and licensing (CE), the unauthorised modification and/or
alteration of the soldering equipment is not permitted
• Protect the tool from liquids and moisture, as these can cause fires, short
circuiting and electric shocks.
• Solders and materials that are heated during soldering may have a toxic effect.
For this reason, the storage and consumption of food in the work area is strictly
prohibited. Wash your hands thoroughly after soldering.
• Ensure there is adequate ventilation during operation. Take care that no harm-
ful fumes or gases are inhaled.
• The hot soldering tip and its holder must not be brought into contact with
heat-sensitive or flammable materials or with skin, hair etc.
• Do not leave the device unsupervised while it is operating. During longer work
interruptions, the device should be disconnected from the power supply.
• After use, allow the tool to cool down before putting it away.
• When the device is not in use, store it in a safe place and protect it from dust
and moisture.
• National and international occupational health and safety provisions must be
observed.
• Wear suitable protective clothing and goggles when soldering. Liquid tin solder
and soldering splashes can lead to severe burns or eye injuries!
• This appliance has a polarized plug (US-type: one blade is wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in
any way.
