1 Safety Notes

•
This appliance is only suitable to transmit audio signals of
up to 42 V/1 A.
•
Protect the unit against humidity and heat (permissible
operating temperature range 0-40°C).
•
For the cleaning only use a dry cloth for dust removing, by
no means chemicals or water.
•
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally intend-
ed, if it is connected in the wrong way or not repaired by
authorized personnel, no liability can be taken over for pos-
sible damage.

2 Applications

Patch boxes are always used where extensive connections
between audio units are necessary. Model MPB-48L has
especially been developed for stage applications and model
MPB-48S for the studio technique. Examples of application:
1. Inserting of one effect unit each into the 24 signal ways
(mono, unbalanced)
2. Combining and routing of 48 inputs resp. outputs (stereo,
unbalanced or mono, balanced resp. unbalanced)
3. Splitting of 24 signals (mono, unbalanced) to two outputs
(only possible with model MPB-48L)
3 Inserting of effect units
At first establish the signal way (mono, unbalanced) without
the effect unit:
1) Connect the output of the signal source (e. g. mixer) to the
upper rear jack A of one channel.
2) Connect the lower rear jack B of the same channel with the
input of the following unit (e. g. amplifier). Thus the signal
way is established.
