The following information on hazards and precautions includes the most probable situations that may arise during the use
of this machine. Consult all the documentation, packaging and product labels before using it.
If you encounter a situation not described in this manual use common sense to use the machine as safely as possible and,
if you see danger, do not use the machine.
USERS
This machine has been designed to be manipulated only by users of legal age who have read and understood
these instructions.
Familiarize yourself with this machine before using it. Make sure you know the controls and safety devices and
how they should be used.
If you are an inexperienced user, we recommend that you do some practice doing simple jobs and, if possible, in
the company of an experienced person.

PERSONAL SAFETY

This tool is intended to function as a grinder, sander, wire brush or cutting tool. Read all safety warnings,
instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this tool.
During operation, the machine must be started first, and then come into contact with the workpiece.
It is not recommended to perform operations such as polishing with this tool. Operations for which the tool is not
designed may create a hazard and cause personal injury.
Do not use accessories that are not specifically designed and recommended by the tool manufacturer. The fact
that the accessory may be attached to the power tool does not guarantee safe operation.
Incorrectly sized accessories cannot be adequately protected or controlled.
The threaded mounting of accessories must match the thread of the grinder spindle. For flange mounted
accessories, the accessory shaft bore must match the flange diameter. Accessories that do not match the
mounting hardware on the tool will become unbalanced, vibrate excessively and may cause loss of control.
Do not use a damaged accessory. Before each use, inspect the accessory, for example, if the abrasive wheels are
chipped or cracked, if the backing plate is cracked or excessively worn, or if the wire brush has loose or cracked
wires. After inspecting and immobilising an accessory, position yourself and others away from the plane of the
rotating accessory and run the power tool at maximum idle speed for one minute. Damaged accessories will
normally break during this test time.
Use personal protective equipment. Depending on the application, use a face shield and safety glasses. As
appropriate, use a dust mask, hearing protection, gloves and a workshop apron capable of stopping small
abrasive or workpiece fragments. Eye protection must be capable of stopping flying debris generated by the
various operations.
The dustmask or respirator must be capable of filtering particles generated by their operation prolonged exposure
to high intensity noise can cause hearing loss.
Keep bystanders at a safe distance from the work area. Anyone entering the work area must wear personal
protective equipment.
Fragments from the workpiece or a broken attachment can fly away and cause injury beyond the immediate work
area.
Never leave the tool on the ground until the accessory has come to a complete stop. The spinning wheel may grab
the surface and cause the power tool to spin out of your control.
Do not operate the tool while carrying it at your side. Accidental contact with the rotating accessory could snag
