6. Installation
• Choose the location for the dome camera, keeping following guidelines in mind:
o Do not install the camera in locations where extremely high or low temperatures, high humidity,
water vapour or steam, dust or excessive vibrations may occur.
o Avoid mounting the camera near high electro-magnetic fields as this will influence image quality.
o Do not aim the camera at the sun or other extremely bright objects or reflections.
• Fix the mounting plate (4) to the wall with 4 anchors (when applicable) and 4 screws. Note that
mounting will be easier when the transparent cover and plastic protective cap are removed [1&2].
• Connect the video connector [B] to a monitor (not incl.) or a sequential switcher/quad splitter (not incl.)
when connecting multiple domes.
• When using an RS485 controller (not incl.) and/or DVR (not incl.), connect the white wire [A] of the
camera to the '+' and the green wire [A] to the '-' of the RS485 controller and/or DVR.
• Connect the power connector [C] to the included 12VDC power adaptor. Plug the other end of the
adaptor in the mains.
Note: only use the included power supply.
• Manually adjust the focus by rotating the lens [3]. Secure the position by rotating the ridged ring towards
the housing.
• Re-install the plastic cover. Make sure the tabs snap into place [2].
• Place the transparent cover back and screw it clockwise. Make sure it is closed firmly.
