Warnings and safety!

TO PREVENT FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCKS, THE DEVICE MUST NOT BE EXPOSED TO
RAIN OR HUMIDITY.

For your own safety: to prevent electric shocks do not remove the housing. Do not
try to repair any malfunctioning parts of the device yourself. Ask a professional
expert to do this for you.

W hen plugged into the mains, the device remains electrically charged even when
switched off.

P ull the plug out of the wall socket whenever the device is not being used for longer
periods. Hold the plug to do this, not the cable.

Installation
To install correctly follow the steps listed below.
Positioning

Ensure that the system is mounted and positioned for optimum fonctioning of RF
signals. Keep a free spacing of about 10cm around the housing. (fig. 1)

The optional wall-mounted transmitters are wireless. For optimum installation and
functioning, consult the documentation supplied.
Connection to an external audio source
Any external audio source can be connected through an RCA cable (eg. Oehlbach).
Please observe the correct colours (white/red or Left/Right).
Connecting the loudspeakers
2 loudspeakers can be connected in each zone, namely, left and right. Ensure that the
polarity of the loudspeaker is correct: connect the red terminal onto the + of the
loudspeaker, connect the black terminal onto the - of the loudspeaker.The loudspeaker
can be of the 4 or 8 ohm type.
FM aerial
You can use the FM aerial supplied. Plug this into the connector intended.
Configuration of the device with one or more RF remote controls
First ensure that loudspeakers are connected, optionally an extra audio source on the
RCA input.

Hold down the set-up button for about 5 seconds until the LED starts to flash. The
device is now ready to read in the address of the remote control.

Press on the 'OFF' button on the remote control. The appropriate LED lights up. The
LED on the device will start to flash temporarily. This is to confirm that the remote
control has been read in.


Configuration for use with one or more RF handheld transmitter and RF wall-
mounted transmitters
First ensure that loudspeakers are connected, optionally an extra audio source on the
RCA input.

Hold down the set-up button for about 5 seconds until the LED starts to flash. The
device is now ready to read in the address of the remote control. Press on the 'OFF'
button on the remote control. The LED on the device will start to flash temporarily.
This is to confirm that the remote control has been read in. Optionally a second
remote control can be adressed by pushing the 'OFF' button.

Press the 'setup' button briefly. The device is ready to read in the address of the
wall-mounted transmitter. Press the 'OFF' button. The LED will start flashing briefly,
indicating that the address of this wall-mounted transmitter has been read in.


H old down the set-up button for about 5 seconds to quit configuration.
Mono / Stereo (fig. 2/3)
Put the mono/stereo switch into mono position whenever:

Only one speaker is connected

Two or more speakers are positioned on larger distance of each other

More speakers are positioned in different zones
Storing presets / Tone control
Press any numeric button on the remote control for 2 sec. to store the radio station. By
pressing briefly or for a longer period the HI/LO button followed by +/- you can adjust
high and low tones.
Deleting programmed function from the memory
There is a possibility to delete all programmed controls (remotes and wall mounted
transmitters) from the memory. Therefore press the 'setup' button and hold this while
inserting the plug back in the mains socket until the LED fades out. The device in now
ready for reconfiguration.
Warranty conditions
2 year warranty from the date of manufacture. The warranty is limited to the repair of
replacement of the defective material insofar as this defect is a result of normal use
and the device has not been damaged. Artsound is not responsible for any other costs
that ensue as a result of the defect (e.g. transport). For details, please consult our
