Fan Starter 11 / 18.5 / 22
ENGLISH
The Fan Starter can be started and stopped with the switch on the door, by turning
it to position "1" it starts and by turning back to "0" it stops. Position "AUTO" is
used to start and stop the Fan Starter when connecting external start/stop signals.
Fan Timer or other maintained start/stop signal as well as remote impulse start and
stop can be connected.
When connected to FilterMax the AUTO-0-1 switch acts as a remote start switch
for the FilterMax. The FilterMax Fan start-output will then activate the contactors in
the Fan Starter. With FilterMax the remote impulse start and stop can not be
connected.
The white indication lamp indicates running fan. The yellow fault indication lamp
indicates basically tripped motor overload protector, with FilterMax it indicates the
ALARM signal (service or A-Alarm). Tripped motor overload protector will be
indicated on the FilterMax Control panel with a red lamp at the fan symbol.
The start of a NCF fan is a rather heavy start and repeated starts will trip the
motor overload protector. There is a timer installed for delayed fan stop when
repeated stop could be expected. Switch S1 shall be in position "Auto" when start
signal is given from external contacts for example hood or automatic dampers.
External start signal must be a potential free contact and shall be connected to
terminal 115-116.
To start from extraction arms with light a voltage separation relay must be used,
see accessories.
