Lieu d'installation:
Dues à la densité des gaz divers, ceux-ci montrent des réactions différentes. Par cela, il est nécessaire,
pour la hauteur de montage du détecteur, de respecter strictement la spécification du gaz seul pour garantir le fonctionnement de
l'appareil et votre sécurité:

Gaz liquide (propane/butane)
Le gaz liquide fui est plus lourd que l'air, descend par terre et s'y étend.

Montage de l'appareil proche de la terre (env. 20 cm), si possible aussi proche de l'appareil propulsé par gaz.

Gaz naturel (méthane)
Ces gaz sont plus légers que l'air et montent en haut.

Montage de l'appareil au mur, 15-30 cm au-dessous du point le plus haut du plafond
KAC-1 comme détecteur d'alerte de gaz narcotique
Le fonctionnement comme détecteur d'alerte de gaz narcotique consiste à avertir à temps les passagers de la voiture des hold-up
avec gaz narcotique.
L'appareil KAC-1 déjà dépiste les tels gaz narcotiques dans l'atmosphère en concentrations très faibles, c'est-à-dire avant qu'ils
puissent produire ses effets anesthésiques et éliminer la réactivité des passagers.
L'avertissement s'effectue par un signal d'alerte fort pour éveiller, à l'occasion, les passagers touchés au repos nocturne. En outre,
l'alarme puissant attire l'attention des voisins directs à l'agression.
L'appareil réagit à toutes liaisons de l'hydrocarbure volatil avec effet narcotique. Le seuil d'alarme est ajusté très sensiblement.
Le système devrait être installé dans la région à coucher de la voiture.
A cause de l'exploitation d'un seul détecteur observer les règles d'installation selon "KAC-1 comme détecteur de gas".
Montage
L'appareil est fixé au mur par deux vis (voir ill.). Employer les vis jointes. Les trous de montage et les serre-fils de raccord sont
situés sous une dalle. Ce couvercle n'est fixé que par deux tenons et peut être retiré sans aucun moyen par intervention latérale.
Raccordement electrique
Raccordement électrique seulement à tension continue de 12 Volt (DC). Tolérance: -10% / +20%.
Pour le raccordement nous recommandons un câble marquant les fils.
Connexion recommandée: Toron double rouge/noire 2 x 0,34 mm² Liyz.
Brancher le câble aux serre-fils "+12 V DC" et "-12 V DC".
Une coupe transversale plus petite du câble n'est pas permise !
Observer le raccordement aux pôles corrects.
Mise en service
Après le raccordement électrique le système peut être mis en service:
Passer la touche principale en position "I". L'affichage à diodes jaune "ANLAUF" s'allume. Attendre que l'affichage jaune
s'éteigne après env. 2 min. et l'affichage verte "BETRIEB" soit activée. Alors, votre système est opérationnel. L'ajustage de la
sensibilité s'effectue automatiquement.
Pour immobiliser l'appareil passer la touche principale en position "0".
Le système KAC-1 est développé pour marche continue et devrait - en particulier comme détecteur de gaz - marcher en
permanence pendant vos vacances.
Test de fonctionnement
Le test de fonctionnement au système opérationnel (LED s'allume vert) s'effectue comme suit :

Tenir un briquet à gaz normal directement devant le détecteur "Sensor" et laisser dégager du gaz sans allumer la flamme.
#
Si le détecteur KAC-1 fonctionne correctement, il déclenche l'alarme dans peu de secondes allumant la LED rouge et activant
le signal d'alerte acoustique.
#

Alarme
Si la concentration du gaz (détecteur de gaz) ou la concentration du gaz narcotique dépasse le seuil de sensibilité ajustée par
l'usine, l'appareil donne de l'alarme immédiatement par la LED rouge et la sirène - intensité du son env. 85 dB (A) / 3 m .
Alors, ouvrir immédiatement toutes les fenêtres et portes; éviter des flammèches (ne pas affecter des touches électriques); arrêter
tous les appareils propulsés par gaz et éteindre tous les foyers (p. ex. chandelles); faire sortir les enfants et les personnes
dormants. Essayer immédiatement de trouver la cause de l'alarme. Charger un expert du dépannage, en particulier en cas d'une
fuite du système de gaz.
Fausse alerte
Conformément au but, le système d'alerte est ajusté très sensiblement. Pour cela, le détecteur du système réagit aussi à d'autres
matières gazeuses. L'emploi des aérosols (gaz combustible en sprays etc.) mais aussi de la fumée de tabac dense ou des
émanations alcooliques peut déclencher l'alarme, même s'il n'existe pas de gaz ou gaz narcotique.
Mise au rebut
Ne jetez pas le matériel d'emballage, les piles usagées et les appareils eux-mêmes, mais amenez-les à des
emplacements de récupération. La déchetterie ou l'emplacement de recyclage le plus proche vous seront communiqués
par votre administration communale

Cet appareil dispose d'une garantie de 2 ans à partir de la date d'achat. Cet appareil a été fabriqué avec soin et a fait l'objet d'un
strict contrôle avant la livraison. Veuillez conserver le ticket de caisse comme justificatif d'achat. Cette garantie ne s'applique
qu'au premier acheteur et n'est pas transmissible. En outre, la prestation de garantie ne s'applique qu'en cas de vice matériel ou

Description
The KAC-1 is a self contained unit combing sensor, electronics and siren. It is to be connected to a DC voltage of 12 V.
The system is equipped with a very special sensor which allows to use the appliance both as a gas alarm device and as an
anesthetic gas alert system.
The alarm system KAC-1 is specially made for caravans and mobile homes of smaller size where it is sufficient to use only one
sensor to detect gas and anesthetic gas. The system is also suited for lorry drivers' cabs.

Safety instrutions

The function test must be repeated from time to time, particularly in case of frequent and long-term rest periods. Thereby,
the operating of the siren and the sensor are checked.

Strictly observe also the installation height in accordance to the kind of gas!

If the system is used in vehicles, it may only be activated when the engine is switched off!

KAC-1 as gas warning device
The system reacts to liquid gas, i e propane/butane (LPG) as well as natural gas (methane). The sensor is very sensitive and will
cause an optical and acoustic alarm to be given at low gas concentrations are far beneath the lower Limit of explosion, ie. before
an explosive mixture arises.
Location:
Due to their specific gravity the various gases show different behaviours in the room. Therefore, it is necessary for the
function of the appliance and for your security to strictly observe the installation height:

KAC-1 as Anesthetic gas alert device
The function as anesthetic gas alarm device consists in warning in time the passengers in case of robberies with anesthetic gas.
The KAC-1 detects such anesthetic gases in the atmosphere in low concentrations, i e before they can spread their anesthetizing
effects and eliminate the passengers' reactivity.
This warning is made by means of a loud alarm signal, for ex. to wake up the passengers asleep at night. By the loud alarm signal
the neighbours' attention is called to the crime, too. The system reacts to all volatile hydro-carbons with anesthetic effect. The
alarm threshold is set very sensitively.
The system should be installed near by the sleeping area in the vehicle.
As this device uses one sensor please see also the section "KAC-1 as gas warning device".
Installation
Secure the device to the wall using the enclosed screws. The fixing holes as well as the terminals lie under a cover plate. This cover
is attached by two pins and can be removed without any tools by pressing from the side.
Electrical connection
Electrical connection only to a DC voltage of 12 V. Tolerance: -10% / +20%.
For connection we recommend colour coded wire eg: double wire red/black 2 x 0.34 mm² Liyz.
Connect the cable to the terminals marked with "+12 V DC" and "-12 V DC".
A smaller conductor cross section is not permitted! Observe polarity of the terminal connections!
Putting into operation
After the successful connection the system can be put into operation:
Switch the main switch to position "I". Then the yellow LED display "ANLAUF" lights up. Wait until the yellow LED goes out after
about 2 minutes and the green LED display "BETRIEB" is activated. Now your system is ready-to-run. The sensitivity of the sensor
is automatically adjusted. To put the appliance out of operation, switch the main switch to position "0".
The KAC-1 is designed for continuous operation - especially as a gas warning device - during occupation.
Function test
With the system in operation (green
LED
on) is perform the test as follows:

Hold a normal gas lighter in front of the case opening "SENSOR" and let escape gas without igniting the flame.
#
In case of proper operating the KAC-1 gives alarm within a few seconds by lighting up the red LED and activation of the
acoustic warning signal.
#
The alarm goes out as soon as the gas concentration has evaporated.
Alarm
If the gas concentration or the anesthetic gas concentration exceeds the factory-set threshold of sensitivity, the device
immediately gives an alarm - volume about 85 dB (A) / 3 m - by the red warning light and the siren. Open immediately all
windows and doors; avoid arcing (do not press electrical switches); turn off all gas-operating appliances and open fire; do not
hesitate to bring children and persons asleep to leave the car. Immediately try to find out the cause of the alarm.
Especially in case of leaking gas system, ensure that the repair is made by a specialist.
False alarm
According to its purpose, the warning system is set very sensitively. Therefore, the sensor of the system reacts to other gaseous
materials. The use of aerosols (propellant gas in sprays, etc) but also dense tobacco fume or alcoholic vapour can cause an alarm,
even if no gas or anesthetic gas is existing.
Disposal
Do not simply throw away packaging material and worn-out equipment but send it for recycling. Please ask your local
authority for details of your recycling centre or nearest collection point.
Warranty
This device has a warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase. The device was manufactured with care and inspected thoroughly
before delivery. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty is only valid for the first purchaser and is not
transferable. The warranty furthermore covers material or manufacturing defects only. It does not apply to wear parts or damage
to fragile parts. The product is solely intended for private use and not for commercial use. No claim for damages may be brought
in the event of fire or explosion. An alarm is no substitute for insurance cover and does not replace your duty of care. In the event of
incorrect and / or improper handling, the use of force or any work on the device that is not performed by the service office, the
warranty shall expire. This warranty does not restrict your statutory rights.
