    1 Inleiding Het Vetus weerstation is een programma welke de gebruiker in staat stelt de windsnel- heid en windrichting parameters op hun PC te tonen. 2 Programma-eigenschappen Het Vetus Weerstation is speciaal ontwikkeld om zowel nieuwe als bestaande windstati- ons uit te kunnen rusten met de laatste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van meteorologie en computer software.

    NEDERLANDS 3 Toepassingen De software is bestemd om te worden toegepast samen met de Vetus MHWSD833. De MHWSD833 kan worden aangesloten op de RS232/RS422 poort (zie Installatie) van een PC waarop het Vetus Weerstation v1.0 is geïnstalleerd. Een andere mogelijkheid is het verwerken van data dat via een modem, een zender/ontvanger of een ander communi- catie systeem van de MHWSD833 naar de PC is gestuurd.

    De meteorologische gegevens kunnen op verschillende manieren aan het Vetus Weerstation worden toegevoerd: • Via een communicatie poort, wanneer gegevens worden geleverd door een Vetus MHWSD833 windsensor. Dit RS232/RS422 signaal is aangesloten op de seriële poort van de PC. De gegevensstroom bestaat uit een aantal ASCII karakters, welke in een specifieke manier worden overgezonden.

    Individuele instellingen voor de windsnelheid en windrichting zijn mogelijk.     Many compa- nies have changed to new operating systems, such as Windows95/98 or WindowsNT. For this target group, Vetus has developed new software, which is flexible and can be adjusted according to customer specification.

    The software is intended to use with the Vetus WSD802 sensor. The WSD802 sensor can be connected to the RS232/RS422 port to a PC on which the Vetus Weatherstation v1.0 has been installed. Another option is that data arrive via a modem, a transmitting / receiving system or any other communication system that can transfer the WSD802 data.

    The meteorological data can control the Vetus Weatherstation in different ways: • Via a communication port, when data is supplied by a Vetus WSD802 windsensor. This RS232/RS422 signal is connected to the serial port on the PC. The data string generally consists of a number of ASCII characters, which are sent in a specific for- mat.

    The alarmlevels must be enabled in the vetus.ini file. Otherwise the toolbar alarm enable / disable will not function. Individual settings for the windspeed and winddirection are possible. The vetus.ini file is located in the directory in which the program was installed (default C:\Program\Files\Vetus\Weatherstation).

    ENGLISH 8 Datalogging The software can log the data provided by the Vetus WSD802. On the toolbar users can select a delimiter for the parameters in the log file, for use with a spreadsheet or just for daily printing. If the data are stored in a log file, users can choose whether they want to do that on a daily, weekly, monthly basis or in one file on a continuous basis.

Programmeigenschaften Die Vetus-Wetterstation wurde eigens zu dem Zweck entwickelt, sowohl neue als bereits aufgestellte Wetterstationen mit den jüngsten Entwicklungen im Meteorologie- und Computersoftwarebereich ausrüsten zu können. Es wäre heutzutage kaum einzuse- hen, warum man meteorologische Daten nicht mit Hilfe eines Computers speichern, präsentieren und bearbeiten sollte.

    Die meteorologischen Daten können der Vetus-Wetterstation auf verschiedenem Wege übermittelt werden: • Über eine COM-Schnittstelle ó die Daten werden dann von einem Vetus-MHWS833- Windsensor angeboten. Dieses RS232-/RS422-Signal ist an die serielle Schnittstelle des Rechners angeschlossen. Der Datenstrom besteht aus einer Reihe ASCII- Zeichen, die auf eine spezielle Art und Weise übermittelt werden.

    7.2. Einstellung der Alarmwerte Die Alarmwerte sind in die Datei vetus.ini einzugeben ó ansonsten würde die Geräteleiste nicht funktionieren. Es sind individuelle Einstellungen für die Windgeschwindigkeit und Windrichtung möglich. Die vetus.ini-Datei hat sich im selben Verzeichnis zu befinden wie das installierte Programm (Standard: C:\Program Files\Vetus\Wetherstation).
