❐ Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and
mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If
you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant fresh
water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.
❐ Remove a dead battery from the device immediately. Clean all
contacts before putting a new battery in the device. The batteries
must not be recharged or reactivated by other means, disman-
tled, thrown into a fi re, immersed in fl uids, or short-circuited.
For Your Health
❐ Remove only hair on clean, dry skin that has not been treated
with lotion.
❐ Since the hair is removed at the root, hairs could become in-
grown and cause skin irritations. A regular skin massage using a
massage glove or loofah sponge can help to reduce the incidence
of ingrown hairs.
❐ A slight reddening of the skin after epilation is normal, but if a
skin irritation lasts for longer than three days, consult your doc-
tor immediately.
