Safety Instructions
Dangers of Injury
■
Keep the device and packaging material away from children and animals. There is a
risk of injury and suffocation!
■
This device is not designed to be used by individuals (including children) with limited
physical, sensory or mental abilities or those without suffi cient experience and/or
knowledge, unless they are supervised by someone responsible for their safety or
have received instructions from them on how to use the device. Children must be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
■
Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Therefore keep the batteries and the device out
of reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance
immediately.
■
Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes
to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected
sites with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possi-
ble.
■
Never stand on the device!
For Your Health
■
If your health means that you belong to a risk group, you should always consult your
doctor before using the device. If necessary, coordinate your training programme
with him.
■
Pregnant women should not use the device or should use it only after consultation
with their doctor.
■
ATTENTION: Stop training immediately if you suddenly feel weak or dizzy. If you feel
sick, have pain in your chest or arms, an irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath or
other unusual symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
■
Do not train on a full stomach. Do not eat anything for approx. one hour before and
after training.
■
Do not train if you are already tired and drained.
■
Always remember that your body needs a lot of fl uid during sport. Ensure that you
take adequate fl uids to maintain hydration.
■
We explicitly point out that improper use of the device and excessive training can be
detrimental to your health.
The Proper Handling of Batteries
■
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the device and on the
batteries are clean; clean them if necessary.
■
Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data (see the "Technical Data"
chapter).
■
When replacing batteries, note the correct polarity (+/–).
■
Take the batteries out of the device when they are discharged or if the device is not
going to be used for a prolonged period. This will prevent any damage that might
occur if a battery leaks.
