1. Introduction

Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of
the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not
dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it
should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device
should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling
service. Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't
install or use it and contact your dealer.
The CARS4700 is designed to convert 12~24VDC power to a 15~19VDC
output, as required by most current notebook computers. It features
overload and short circuit protection to avoid damage.
Velleman nv will not be held responsible for damaged or lost
software or damage to a connected device. Before connecting a device
you should make sure that both the voltage and polarity are correct. Do not
change either voltage or polarity during operation. Contact your local
dealer when in doubt.

2. Safety Instructions

Keep the adapter away from children and unauthorized
users.
Dry location use only. Keep this adaptor away from rain and
moisture. Never put objects filled with liquid on top of or close to
the adaptor.
DO NOT disassemble or open the cover under any circumstances.
Touching live wires can cause life-threatening electroshocks.
The housing might heat up during usage. Keep minimum distances
around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation. Place the adaptor on
a flat heat resistant surface.
Always disconnect mains power when the adaptor is not in use or
when servicing or maintenance activities are performed. Do not pull
the cable!
Do not use the adaptor when damage to housing or cables is
noticed. Do not attempt to service the device yourself but contact
an authorised dealer.
