APPLICATIONS

You may use this product for the purpose listed below:
 Sweeping dirt, grass, and other debris from driveways
and walkways
POSITIONING THE WHEELS
See Figure 6.
The position of the wheels can be adjusted to improve
comfort and stability.
 Stop the engine or motor and remove the spark plug wire,
disconnect from the power supply, or remove the battery
pack.
 Loosen, but do not remove, the bolts and nuts securing
the wheel mounting plate.
 Move the wheel mounting plate toward the front or the
back of the attachment as desired.
 Tighten bolts and nuts to secure the wheel mounting
plate.
USING THE SWEEPER ATTACHMENT
See Figure 7.
WARNING:
Engine housing on gas power heads may become hot
during sweeper operation. Do not rest or place your arm,
hand, or any body part against the engine housing during
sweeper operation. Only hold the sweeper as shown
in figure 7 with all body parts clear of engine housing.
Extended contact with the engine housing can result in
burns or other injuries.
WARNING:
Always position the unit on the operator's right side. The
use of the unit on the operator's left side will expose the
operator to hot surfaces and can result in possible burn
injury.
OPERATION
WARNING:
To avoid burns from hot surfaces, never operate unit with
the bottom of the engine above waist level.
WARNING:
Never use the sweeper on a rooftop or other unstable
surface, which can result in death or serious personal
injury.
WARNING:
Do not wear loose clothing, scarves, or jewelry. They can
be caught in moving parts and cause death or serious
personal injury.
WARNING:
Keep all debris discharge pointed away from all electrical
devices to reduce the risk of electrocution or electric
shock.
WARNING:
Never point the sweeper in the direction of people or
pets. Thrown debris or other objects can cause serious
personal injuries.
Hold the sweeper with your right hand on the rear handle
and your left hand on the J-handle. Keep a firm grip with
both hands while in operation. The sweeper should be held
at a comfortable position with the trigger handle about hip
height. Maintain your grip and balance on both feet. Position
yourself so that you will not be drawn off balance by the
brush thrust of the rotating brushes.
NOTE: When used with a gas power head, always operate
at full throttle. Prolonged sweeping at partial throttle will
result in oil dripping from the muffler. If temperature is below
40°F, allow the engine to warm up by running it in the half
choke position for approx. 15-30 seconds before beginning
sweeper operation.
 Take notice of the direction of the wind before beginning.
When possible, discharge debris in the same direction as
the wind to prevent debris from being thrown back into
your face.
