8 Before you climb the ladder, make sure there are no
red marks next to the bottom locking buttons.
9 The red lock indicators must be fully visible under the
rungs.
10 Ensure that the ladder has been correctly positioned
against the wall with both rubber wall protectors.
11 Do not use the top four rungs of a stepladder and
hold on to the top stiles for your safety and to ensure
comfortable standing. If the ladder is partially extended,
with one set of rungs on top, do not climb higher than
1 metre under the end of the ladder. If you follow this
correctly, you are always in the right position on the
ladder and can hold on securely to the top stiles at hip
height.

12 Collapse the ladder after use by unlocking the bottom
button with one hand, and pushing the ladder down with
the higher-positioned other hand.
13 Make sure that your hands are more than two rungs
apart so you cannot get your hands caught between the
rungs.
14 Collapse both top stiles by unlocking both buttons.
