3.7. PUMP PLACEMENT
For best pump performance, place the pump set near the water level, and use hoses that are no
longer than necessary. That will enable the pump set to produce the greatest output with the least
self-priming time. [Fig. 08]
As head increases, pump set output decreases, the length, type and size of the suction and discharge
hoses can also significantly affect pump output. Minimizing suction head (placing the pump set near
the water level) is also very important for reducing self-priming time.
4. HOSES CONNECTIONS
Check following points before starting engine:
•
Check the general condition of the pipes;
•
Ensure that the suction sealing washer is in good condition;
•
Ensure that the strainer is in good condition and is installed on the suction hose.
To ensure to obtain the best performance from your pump, the suction and discharge hoses must not
exceed the useful lengths. The pump's efficiency is the best when it is placed close to the water level.
The automatic self-priming time is also proportional to the length of the hose.
Suction and discharge hoses must have a suitable diameter to achieve maximum performance.

4.1. SUCTION HOSE
NOTE
The suction hose has to be with reinforced structure and non-foldable.
1.
Place the hose connection sleeve [(c) and (d) Fig. 11] on the suction port [(a) Fig. 11]. Do not
forget to put the supplied sealing washer [(b) Fig. 11] between the suction port and the hose
connection sleeve;
2.
Loose the hose clamp [(e) Fig. 11] and place it on one end of the suction hose; [(f) Fig. 11]
3.
Put the suction hose onto the hose connection sleeve and tighten the hose clamp; [Fig. 12]
4.
Fixe the strainer [(c) Fig. 13] supplied with the pump on the other end of the suction hose [(a)
Fig. 13] with the supplied hose clamp [(b) Fig. 13].
