Check the ball diameter from time to time.
As soon as a diameter of 49.0 mm is reached at any given point, the towing bracket may no longer
be used for safety reasons.
The fixing points specified as standard must be observed.
National guidelines concerning official approval of auxiliaries must be observed.
These installation and operating instructions must be enclosed with the vehicle papers.

General Installation Instructions:

Using a filling knife, remove the insulating compound and underseal from the area of the body at
which the towing bracket will make contact with the body. Then clean the surfaces with naphtha.
Coat bare body surfaces with anti-corrosion paint. If fitted, remove all protective plugs from the
weld nuts/bolts before assembling.
The micro-encapsulated hexagon bolts (M12x1.5x40) are only allowed to be used once. If parts
of the towing bracket are loosened or removed, always use new micro-encapsulated hexagon
bolts when refitting them.
Mount 7-pin electrical system as per DINV 72570.
Mount 13-pin electrical system as per ISO 11446.
Retighten all mounting bolts of the towing bracket after approx. 1,000 towing km.
