2.4.3 Recording the data
Once the acquisition is completed (time or manual) it must be saved to be able to retrieve the
points on a computer.
Only one data acquisition can be saved. By selecting Open, you open the last saved data
acquisition.
2.4.4 Transfer of the data to the computer
Once the acquisition is completed, it is possible to transfer the data to a computer to process
it:
The data then appears on the screen. Right-clicking the chart provides access to various chart
tools.
3. Data visualisation
It is possible to view the data at any moment in tabular or chart format. To do so, simply press
the Back button (2). The display then toggles between measurement, table and chart.
Whatever the current display, the data acquisition can be monitored.
After 5 seconds without activity, table or chart is output as a full screen display. To again obtain
the associated functions, turn the knurled knob.
In the table, the arrows situated at the bottom right are used to move between the rows of the
table.
4. Analogue outputs
The Initio2 has analogue outputs in the form of banana jacks and a 3.5 mm jack.
The U and I analogue outputs deliver a voltage of -5V to +5V for full-scale grades, whether
direct or TRMS measurement.
Output 1 : top and middle socket => voltage U based on a full scale of 0-30V i.e. S1 = -5V
for U = 0V, S1 = 0V for U = 15V and S1 = 5V for U = 30V
We can assimilate the response of the analog output to an affine function S1 = (10/30) xU - 5
Output 2 : bottom and middle socket => current I based on a full scale from 0 to 5A i.e. S2 =
-5V for I = 0A, S2 = 0V for I = 2.5A and S2 = 5V for I = 5A
