Physical and chemical measurements
Spectrophotometer USB / Bluetooth
Ref. 705414 – 705432
Notes :
- The curve acquired in real time is called I(λ), and can be displayed or hidden like the
other curves.
- Don't forget to click Play again after saving the curve.
- If you click directly on Keep, the curve is paused for the duration of the curve recording.
The Average and Smooth options activate mathematical processing functions to reduce
irregularities in the curve:
- Average to eliminate noise, adjustable as No - Low - Medium - High
- Smooth, has to be limited so as not to lose too much resolution, adjustable in No - Low
- Medium - High.
Please note: The smoothing parameters selected in the emission tab are set by default
for the other tabs.
The spectrum can be displayed as
an enevelope or as a colored
spectrum. To do this, use the
following function.
The absorbance mode measures the light
intensity received after passing through your
sample (cell or filter).
Before measuring absorbance or transmittance,
you need to perform a calibration. To do this,
insert a cuvette filled with solvent and click on
Calibrate, the instrument acquires the reference
spectrum. After calibration, the black level is
measured. This determines the level of noise
(optical, electronic...) to be subtracted from the
curve during measurement.
Insert the colored filter or the cuvette containing
your colored solution.
spectrum is displayed in real time in the graphics
area.
