Installation Instruction Supplement - Metalux Luminaire with Integrated Sensor
IMPORTANT: Read carefully before installing fixture. Retain for future reference.

with the applicable installation code by a qualified
electrician or a person familiar with the construction
and operation of the product and the hazards

before changing components or handling fixture.
INSTALLATION
Fixture Installation/Wiring with Integrated Sensor
1.
Follow all installation and wiring instructions found on
the installation instructions for the luminaire. See
www.cooperlighting.com for additional information.
2.
Install all luminaires in the same area with the
integrated sensor in the same orientation, or as
indicated on the lighting plan.
3.
The integrated sensor controller is factory wired to the
luminaire, and does not require additional field wiring
other than power.
4.
Remove all luminaire and sensor protective covers
after installation and prior to using the integrated
sensor system.

Start Up Behavior
SVPD1, SVPD2, SVPD3, SVP3

Turn power ON to the fixture.
The light will start at 50% light level and then raise

or lower to the daylight level.
The sensor RED LED should slow blink (ON for
3
2 seconds, OFF for 2 seconds) for a 1 minute
duration then blink only on occupancy.

Wait for next daylight adjustment/occupancy action.
5
System is fully operational.

Receiving Department: Note actual fixture description
of any shortage or noticeable damage on delivery
receipt. File claim for common carrier (LTL) directly
with carrier. Claims for concealed damage must be
filed within 15 days of delivery. All damaged material,
complete with original packing must be retained.
If supply wires are located within 3 inches of driver, use
wire rated for at least 90°C (194°F).
Green ground screw provided in proper location. Do not
relocate.
Start Up Behavior
LumaWatt Pro - LWI, LWT, LWR options

Turn power ON to the fixture.
The light will start at 100% light level, dim to 30%
2
one second, then raise to 100%.
The sensor RED LED will blink during step 2 then
3
change to solid green occupancy.
Ready for system configuration. Contact your

Cooper Lighting Solutions representative.
Notes:
The sensor RED LED will blink rapidly should a false start occur. Contact your

WaveLinx series - SWPD1
1
Turn power ON to the fixture.
The light will start at full, then change to auto-ON to
2
75% light level.
The sensor GREEN LED will remain ON until the
3
integrated sensor is paired with a compatible
WaveLinx system.
The light with integrated sensor will remain on until
the occupancy timeout (20 minutes) is reached, and
4
will automatically turn on. Daylighting is disabled until
configured.
