2. Install a wheel axle (#2) onto each side of the chipper base with the round
portion of the axle on the bottom.
3. Secure each axle in place using M10 x 24 hex bolts, M10 lock washers and
M10 flat washers
4. Torque the bolts 32 ft-lb.
5. Tip the chipper back into its natural position.
WHEELS
1. Remove the pin (#41), castle nut (#40) and washer (#39) from
the wheel axles.
2. Tip the chipper by lifting the in-feed chute.
a. It is recommended that this is accomplished by at least 2 people.
3. Install a wheel (#4) onto each axle with the filling stem on the outside.
4. Place the washer onto the wheel axle and secure the wheel in place by
installing the castle nut.
5. Tighten the castle nut until there is a slight amount of drag on the wheel
when turned by hand.
6. Back off the castle nut until the next slot is aligned with the pinhole on
the axle then insert the pin and bend its ends to prevent the castle nut
from backing off.
7. Place the dust cover onto the wheel hub and knock it into place using a
rubber mallet.
8. Tip the chipper back into its natural position.
SUPPORT FOOT
1. Tip the chipper by lifting the in-feed chute.
a. It is recommended that this is accomplished by at least 2 people.
2. Place the assembled support foot (#14) onto the chipper base below the
output port.
3 Align the 4 holes on the foot plate (#17) bracket with the holes on the
chipper base.
4. Secure in place using M10 x 24 hex bolts and M10 lock nuts (#42).
5. Torque the bolts 32 ft-lb.
6. Tip the chipper back into its natural position.
