When using a combined digital signal (bitstream), audio playback is not possible.
Connect the HDMI cable to the input port 5 of the transmitter and connect it to your
audio source. Make sure to use the HDMI ARC port of your audio source; otherwise, no
audio will be transmitted.
To select input 1, press the input selection button (2) after powering on the device by
pressing the power on/off button (1) for 5 seconds. The input status LED 1 should
illuminate green.
Connecting the EarisMAX Transmitter to RCA Jack
You can achieve good audio quality by connecting the transmitter to your audio source
using an analog audio cable.
Connect the analog cable to the input port (2) of the transmitter and connect it to your
audio source. Ensure that the white plug is connected to the white jack of the audio
source and that the red plug is connected to the red jack of the audio source.
To select input 2, press the input selection button (2) after powering on the device by
pressing the power on/off button (1) for 5 seconds. The input status LED 2 should
illuminate green.
Connecting the EarisMAX Transmitter to Headphone Jack
Connect the analog cable to the input port 2 of the transmitter and plug the audio cable
into the headphone jack of your audio source.
To select input 2, press the input selection button (2) after powering on the device by
pressing the power on/off button (1) for 5 seconds. The input status LED 2 should
illuminate green.
Set the volume of your audio source to a moderate level.
Some TVs mute the speakers when something is connected to the headphone jack. On
some TVs, this muting can be turned off via the TV menu. Alternatively, use a different
connection method.
Connecting the EarisMAX Transmitter to Device Speaker
The transmitter can capture audio from a speaker using a stereo/mono electret micro-
phone. The microphone is not included and can be purchased from your retailer.
