4.1 STARTING YOUR GENERATOR
NOTE
Ensure all connected appliances are turned off.
Return the starter grip slowly by hand, do not let it snap back.
If there is no battery in the generator or the battery has died, the
generator can only be started using the recoil method. If there is a
battery and it is drained, running the generator will recharge the battery.
A) Remote Start

Open the fuel valve by turning the fuel knob to the OPEN position.

Turn the power switch to the ON position.

With the power switch in the ON position, press the ON button of the
remote control once to start the engine.
NOTE
When the power switch is turned to ON, the unit will enter a remote
standby mode which will deactivate after 48 hours. To re-activate

standby mode, turn the power switch to STOP, and then back to ON.

NOTE
The life expectancy for the remote control battery is two years. When
the battery dies, unscrew the back of the remote to replace it.
Generators equipped with remote start come with two remotes. Do not
lose the remotes, they are paired uniquely to the controller in your unit.
