WARNING
If the air intake emergency shut-off valve has shut the
engine down, leave the area immediately and obey the
safety procedures for your jobsite. Do not reset or start
the machine until the source of the problem has been
identified and a solution has been found.
Auto Mode Operation
1. If there is an overspeed runaway condition in the
engine, the controller with detect this issue and
automatically close the air intake emergency shut-off
valve (A, Figure 28) and shut down the engine.
2. The shut-off valve will remain closed for 15 seconds,
and will automatically reset to the open position.
3. Identify the source of the issue, and correct the issue.
4. Reset the Deep Sea controller by switching the
engine control panel ON / OFF switch to the
'OFF' position and back to the 'ON" position.

Manual/Test Mode Operation
1. Press down the emergency shut-off valve toggle
switch (B, Figure 28) to the 'OFF' position to close the
valve.
2. Release the emergency shut-off valve switch to 'ON'
position to reset the valve to the open position.
3. Manual Mode: Identify the source of the issue, and
correct the issue.
Test Mode: Check functionality of the valve.
4. Reset the Deep Sea controller by switching the
engine control panel ON / OFF switch to the
'OFF' position and back to the 'ON" position.

Block Heaters
Engine block heaters come on units that are equipped
with optional cold weather packages.
Frost Plug Style Block Heater
The light tower trailer can be equipped with an optional
400W, 3.3A, 120V, 60Hz electric, frost plug style block
heater. Use a grounded (3 prong) extension cord to
connect to the plug of the block heater to an appropriate
electric power source.
For the Kubota and Perkins engines, the block heater is
located on the right side when viewed from the fan side.
